About the Experience

What is the best way to see the experience?

After you enter the exhibition and experience the Acknowledgement of Country, we encourage you to move around freely to view the experience from different perspectives. There is some seating available, and you can also sit on the floor, always being mindful of other visitors in the venue.

How long does Our Country go for?

Visit times will vary, but most visitors can anticipate spending around 60 minutes in the exhibition. The main feature of the experience lasts approximately 48 minutes, however you are welcome to take your time, exploring our gift shop as you exit.

What are the opening hours?

Our Country is open seven days a week. Opening and closing times are subject to change. Please check times on the date you wish to attend.

When Should I arrive?

You should plan to arrive about 15 minutes prior to the time printed on your ticket. Please arrive within the entry times displayed on your ticket.

Flexi-ticket holders can arrive any time on the day you have purchased for.

Where is Our Country located in the ICC Sydney?

Our Country is located in the ICC Sydney Exhibition Centre, Level 4, Hall 7. A map of the ICC Sydney can be found here.

Can I use cash at Our Country?

Our Country is a cash-free exhibition. No cash is accepted as a form of payment anywhere within the venue. We accept all major credit & debit cards and forms of contactless payment.

Are food and drinks allowed?

Food and beverages are not permitted in the exhibition.

Can I take photos and videos?

Yes, you are more than welcome to take photos and videos inside the exhibition. Please be considerate of other visitors when taking photos. If you post them on social media, use the hashtag #ausgeoourcountry so more people can see the experience through your eyes.

Please be advised that flash photography is not permitted inside the Our Country exhibition.

Commercial photography or video is not permitted without prior written permission. If you are planning to film in or around the venue, please contact us.

What are the COVID-19 precautions?

The exhibition space in the ICC Sydney provides a safe, contact-free environment. The experience is designed to be a personal journey of exploration, allowing visitors to self-distance. Our top priority is to ensure the safety of our visitors and staff.

Will Our Country be coming to other cities?

Our Country has its World Premiere in Sydney on 19 November 2022 and will run until 5 February 2023. Other domestic and international destinations are yet to be confirmed.

Ticketing Information

How much are tickets to Our Country?

Adults: $34.90 + booking fee

Concession: $29.90 + booking fee

Children: $24.90 + booking fee

Family of 4: $99.90 + booking fee

Flexi-ticket prices (buy a flexible entry ticket and enjoy entry any time on your preferred day): 

Adults: $49.90 + booking fee 

Concession: $44.90 + booking fee 

Children: $39.90 + booking fee 

Family of 4: $129.90 + booking fee

A family can be 2 adults + 2 children, or 1 adult + 3 children

What if I need to change my tickets?

To change your tickets, you will need to contact Ticketek – you can complete the online form here.

Can you buy tickets at the door?

Yes, subject to availability tickets will be available to purchase at the door. We do, however, recommend that you book in advance online as sessions regularly sell out. 

Our Country is a cashless event.

Is my ticket valid for another day?

Tickets are purchased for a specific time slot and will not be valid for entry on another day or time. We cannot guarantee access to the experience outside the hours indicated on your ticket.

What is your refund policy?

Under normal circumstances we would try to move tickets to another day. If that is not possible we will assess refund requests on a case-by-case basis.

What is the age limit for children’s tickets?

The age limit for children's tickets is 15 years old and under.

Is Our Country suitable for children?

Yes. There is no minimum age to visit the experience, all young children should be accompanied by a responsible person.

Public Holidays

Our Country Experience will be open every day over the Christmas/New Year holiday period except for Christmas Day – 25 December 2022. The Experience will be open on Australia Day – 26 January 2023.

Do you accept Companion Cards?

Yes we do! Cardholders are admitted free with a fully paid ticket (concession or otherwise) – no need to book a ticket for them, just ensure they have the cards with them when you arrive.

From what age will children be charged for entry?

Children 3 years and over will be charged entry.

Is there pram parking available?

Please note we do not have pram parking and therefore prams must be accompanied at all times.

What special effects are used in Our Country?

The Our Country experience includes mist. While the projected images and animations within the experience are slow-moving, if you are sensitive to moving light or have been diagnosed with photosensitive epilepsy, please be advised that some moving light may trigger seizures in some people. If you are feeling unwell please let our friendly staff know.

Who created the Our Country Experience?

Our Country is created by Northern Pictures and Australian Geographic and is the work of award-winning film maker Karina Holden with some of Australia’s best cinematographers, creative artists and technology experts.
